Access to Health Records

Our practice is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 with the Information Commissioner. Our registration number is Z5577747. You are entitled by law to have access to your medical records written after 1 November 1991.

You must apply in writing and a charge of £10 may be made. The doctor is entitled to withhold any information which he/she considers could be detrimental to you.

Disclosure of Patient Records

There may be circumstances in which your personal medical record or parts of it may be disclosed to other people, apart from your GP and practice staff. Patients should be re-assured that any disclosure of information is conducted within the rules of the Data Protection Act.

Suggestions & Complaints

We make every effort to give the best service possible to everyone who attends our practice.

However, we are aware that things can go wrong resulting in a patient feeling that they have a genuine cause for complaint. If this is so, we would wish for the matter to be settled as quickly, and as amicably, as possible.

Simply contact the Practice Manager and she will set all the necessary wheels in motion. Further written information is available on the complaints procedure from reception. We are continually striving to improve our service. Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated and a suggestion box is located in the waiting area.
